Daily thread ~ Friday

Good morning all (just!).......

It's another wet, miserable day here......the rain is beginning to bring the leaves down off the trees. Soon it will be looking so bare and desolate outdoors

Cassie has resorted to a comfy chair in the lounge now, rather than go out in this inclement weather

Have a good day all!

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday

Sun's just come out for the 1st time today. Other thanthat it's been one torrential downpour after another!!

Both boys are currently sleeping (Domi's on the sitting room floor using his teddy as a pillow . . . ahhhh). I had to rush to the doctors today coz I panicked when I saw discharge and wnat looked like inflamation around my wound opening.

Nurse was a bit abrupt and said that was normal Well - she's the expert I suppose!!!

Kind of have a nagging in the back of my mind that I need to do something but can't for the life of me think what it was. Oh well . . .

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday

Perfectly horrid day here; started raining last night, still raining now & not supposed to stop till sometime Saturday! Very high winds, so yucky I didn't even go out, and I like to get out every day on my various errands..so here I am on Catsey way before my usual log-in time! This is a classic Nor'easter storm; if it were winter we'd be shovelling a foot or more..!! Oh well, good for the bulbs I planted earlier in the week. Yola: so sorry you're having those problems, are you on antibiotics for the infection? Have a good day all!

Congrats on passing your exam Karen!!! Knowing your penchant for attracting those that need assistance you'll be putting your training into practice soon!!

And no, I'm not on antibiotics . . . yet. It seems that althought it LOOKS infected it actually isn't. Obviously they're waiting for septacaemia to set in before they part with a prescription

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday

Afternoon/evening folks!
Congrats Karen on passing your exam!
Has been a long day, errands to run, doctors appointments, cleaning out cupboards and the like...so now am truly shattered!
Getting quite excited about tomorrow-i know i've seen the kittens a fair few times now but this will be the first when they are 'moving around' with only the odd waddle! Have three massive crocheted blankets that i found in a cupboard earlier on-all a nice coloured wool too, can't for the life of me think where/when they are from-but they will all be going to be 'kitten blanketts' and something they take to their new home. Is a carrier bag of pom-pom's (made by moi!) hanging on the airing cupboard door (i hang things there as you have to pass it to go downstairs so im less likely to forget it!). So yes should be a fun day..now there is something i fear i'm forgetting..something to do with pictures?
I of course value my life and realise that i must not forget the camera tomorrow-so just to be safe i will put it in my coat tonight-and know i won't forget the coat as its the one i tend to allways wear! I actually have a whole other memory card and three sets of fully charged batteries i'm taking with me-just incase!

Re: Daily thread ~ Friday

Thank god today is nearly over, infact this week is nearly over. Being back at work is crap. New guy started while I was on holiday, so now I am carrying him and my manager. Men are so damned useless and feeble. Car is knackered, Graham is getting on my nerves but the funniest thing happened today at work.
I dropped my work keys down the bog in mid flush, door keys, staffroom keys and my locker key, WOOSH, away they went My boss tried to fish them out round the U-bend with a banana Oh how I laughed, I almost wet my pants.
This weekend, writting new C.V. and getting it posted out to anywhere and every where I can think of.
