Daily Shred - Thursday

Morning all - looks like it will be nice here ... but the days are taking longer to get going, aren't they? Dandysmom - heard a bad (very cold) weather forecast for Washington today - you wrap up and keep cosy.
Off to M&D shortly, to finish the clipping back of the rampant clematis montana. Not sure if I'll be back in time to post again today.

It's not a bad day here, sunny intervals and dry!

I've spent the morning shopping, washing and ironing....now a bit of Catsey!

Dandysmom ~ Ooh, don't like the sound of your weather, keep safe and warm

Alex

Re: Daily Shred - Thursday

My friend come up for a couple of hours from Brighton today. She was keen to see Sebastian who behaved himself impeccably

We went for a salad and glass of wine and I have to admit to finding it great to get out and just 'chat' about nothing in particular. Conversation at home always seems to have to have a purpose and chatting is something I've got out of the habit of doing!

Weather's been divine. The door's been open when I've been home but there's a slight chill starting to set in now, so I'll bring the cats and kids in and start dinner!

Have a nice evening

Must have slept funny last night, because I woke up with a very stiff neck!! Took a Tylenol earlier & it's getting better; was off to the market as usual. Still sunny & reasonably mild today. DM, Mags: surprised that you heard about our approaching Arctic blast! They've modified the forecast now; originally it was supposed to be a high of 51 degrees, now they say 61...still not pleasant if you're a hot weather lover like me. but not too bad; don't think I'll need to get out my long johns yet!!!!

Re: Daily Shred - Thursday

I have had a good/bad and very busy day. I put a massive letter of complaint into the head of Acorn Pets. The result being that the area manager finally came to see me today. We had a very long chat and , flatteringly, they dont want to lose me and feel that after they have finally provided me with proper and adequite training, I could be a manager. I declined the last bit. Will stick around for the training as i have some plans for the future and the training may come in very usefull. I also need an income. They are now taking appropriate measures to ensure I get the training and am happy with the animal care etc. I also have to report my grievances concerning the animals and their welfare as and when anything arises.
The bad news is, the new bloke working with me is half my age and does half the work, so I kinda fell out with him a bit.
Busy coz there was a 4 pallet delivery and all hands should have been to the decks but of course I ended up shouldering alot of it.
Day off tomorrow and i am taking my friend Mary, who adopted Tia, to see Liz and her Clan of kitties tomorrow afternoon.
