Daily thread - Monday

The day dawns dull and quiet - fairly typical October day I think, though there is the possibility of sun later. Rain forecast for the remainder of the week so I must go and do some work on the veggie plot whilst the soil is in good condition. Speak later - have a good day!

Re: Daily thread - Monday

After a cool, misty start to the day we have just had a thunder storm but all is peaceful again now!

Have been into town this morning and done a few more bits and pieces of C*******s shopping. Very quiet in there so was able to get around without any pushing crowds for a change!

Have a good day all!

Mags - you said the c word! Wash your mouth out!
I cut down my jerusalem artichokes stems, dug up a few, turned over a couple of rows of bare earth and had a good old gossip with some of the old boys at the allotments
Brought home, artichokes, carrots, tomatoes, turnips, leaf beet parsley and rosemary. Oh, and I ate a raspberry and a strawberry! gardeners perk! - the odd stragglers/second crop

Afternoon all, nice bright day here today. One of my puppies has just gone off to his new home Just one left now who is going tomorrow. Bliss is going for a new kitten check at the vets at tea time and Porsha is going too for a check up as they are keeping a close eye on her with her having been so poorly.

Re: Daily thread - Monday

Lovely sunny day here (although getting rapidly dark and overcast now).

Have been to the tip, to the garage to get some problem rectified on my car (they didn't reset it properly after it's recall visit the other week), to pet city (or whatever it's called this week) to get a new litter tray as one is not beyond cleaning . Then back home for a bit and off again to pick Domi up from nursery.

Now at home and ordering my Waitrose shopping via ocado for the 1st time ever. I'm fed up of schlepping round the shops with 2 kids in tow Up to £130 so far , but then it is a big shop as we haven't been for a while.

Sunny & still too cool here; rain predicted for all day tomorrow...heavy...so did 2 days marketing & plan to stay in Tuesday and play on Catsey. Mags: I did most of my (unmentionable word) shopping on line over the weekend...hate the crowded shops, love the convenience of having it delivered! Have a nice evening, all !
