Very wet here, as forecast. A lazy day in store I think. The brisket pot roast is already in a low oven, nice smells are filling the house, so it's just relax with the papers/TV/radio/CDs/PC I think. Will be able to cope with that!

Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

It's just stopped raining so hubby and Domi have gone to B&Q to get some electrical bits for doing the lights in the garden. I'm rushing around getting the house sorted as I want to jump in the shower and be off for an hour or so on my own for some clothes shopping in town.

Sebi gave hubby a virtually sleepless night but I slept well despite having Dominik in the bed with me (scared of the fireworks).

Chorizo sausage casserole tonight (with onions, mushrooms, potatoes and tomato). Fridge is still on the blink despite a 48 hour defrost so will be on the phone to the repair man 1st thing tomorrow.

Hope all who are going out for dinner have a lovely time

Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

Afternoon all. Grey and overcast here. Hubbys friend came to pick him up at 8.30 this morning to go fishing, girls and I not long back from church. Babysitting my cousins little boy this weekend so took him with us, good as gold he was. Leaving them all to create havoc upsairs (will tidy it when he goes home).

Having asda extra special outdoor bred pork chops (la di da) with vegetable medley and boiled potatoes for dinner, I'm hungry just now thinking about it.

It has been rain, rain, rain all day!!!

Been at home doing the usual Sunday jobs - washing, drying, ironing, cleaning, hoovering. Oh and put a new seat on the loo!!

Sundays a day of rest??? I dont think so!

Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

Evening all-house was madness, many visitors today as we have family down from oop the north, the young lasses are starting to get northern accents now as they are 5 & 7 and lived there for about 4 years now..so sweet.
Was a nice day..slightly hectic but nice, Ralph was lapping the attention up oh and the dropped food!
Just reeeelaxing now after a loong day..some nice 'soothing' music ( the "play" album by Moby) whilst Clementine is having a snooze on my lap as she has given in swearing profusley at me all day in her protest of not being allowed out, despite the fact it was storms, high wind and terrential rain!

Re: Daily thread ~ Sunday

Evening, all! Forecast was for rain, but the sun is shining & it;s a pretty day. Started bringing in some of my tender plants (orchids, cycads) from the patio, as the weather later in the week will not get much above 50 degrees. Hope all who ate out had a lovely time...and those eating in also! Crab cake, baby limas & curried potatoes here!
