Just back from Lidl: they've got New Zealand lamb chops in the deep freeze section and I went berzerk! (the Dutch don't eat lamb so it's very hard to find, and normally impossible to find in our village). Bought all they had left and will pop down next week to see if they have restocked. It's a pre-Christmas special, so they won't have them on a regular basis. My Deep freeze is crammed now. So tonight is treat night: lamb chops, a salad of lambs lettuce, fresh pear slices and parmesan shavings, then two lovely, fat, ripe fresh figs with sheep's cheese for dessert -mmmmmmmm! |

That's four of us, so far. Got room for max 4 more. Lol! Two figs won't go far, but I've got two dishes of home-made raspberry "rotegrutze'" in the deep freeze, made from my own garden raspberries, so they will help out at dessert.  |
