My pathetic attempt at autumn colour

You really wouldn't know it's almost November looking at the garden. Other than the catoneaster berries and the pom-poms on the clematis, it would be difficult to know the season.
However, the blueberries are fabulous! If you are looking for a nice patio pot plant I would recommend a blueberry or two. They are not fussy, other than needing ericaceous compost and plenty of water, and provide spring flowers, summer greenery and berries and then this lovely autumn colour.

That's a fabulous colour DM and if they produce that amount of interest throughout the year, I might think of getting one

Is the one or two plants in your pot ?

Just one Mags. It's much bigger than that pic shows - i just went in close to get the colour.
Here's a not terribly good pic taken last (2005) September.

It's bigger than that now, but still coping in the same pot.
I was reading that it's a good idea to underplant them with cranberries. They like the same conditions and of course the cranberry is very low growing, so acts as a sort of living mulch, to help keep the moisture in.
And you get 'home grown' xmas dinner'

Re: My pathetic attempt at autumn colour

I suppose from now onwards would be the best time to plant one in a container as the plant would be dormant?

Mmmmmm......just the thought of blueberry muffins!!
