Cried my eyes up! Ashleigh had been to get the eggs & locked them out of the pen. So they were in a big run, but nowhere to roost. We didn't realise & when I went down the next morning I saw some feathers by the fishpond...... nothing new there, thought the cats had got a bird, then I got closer & noticed they were brown! BROWN FEATHERS! Then I went to the chicken pen. Nothing to be seen except a few feathers. Took the lot. My 7 hens that I'd had from "day olds" (they were now 2 years) |

Sorryto hear about your chickens smudgley. Hope you have a great bonfire night. We're just having some small fireworks but no bonfire (unless I can convince OH to clear out the back of the garden before tomorrow). |

Poor, poor chickens. I do like foxes, but really hate it when they do this, nature though I suppose. Sorry to hear this Smudgley. Hope you enjoy your bonfire & fireworks. I do love fireworks and able to enjy them more this year as for once I don't have a terrified dog! Caleb really isn't too bothered. |
