Daily Shred - Monday.

Good morning! It's another Monday - bah, how I hate them.

Cold here, and looks like it might decide to rain later (but I think it's too cold to).

We had a good weekend, going up to Lancaster on Saturday to have dinner at Hippie's father's house and go to the fireworks display with his father, his stepmother and his baby sister (who is 6 months younger than Random and his favourite playmate).

Then we had a lazy, lazy Sunday lounging around the house and being generally comfortable.

Nae, I've cleared out my PM box so you can re-send the PM if you like - sorry about that!

Sashimi is getting really settled in; she likes to sleep at the top of the stairs in front of the bedroom door. We had Chinese last night and she tried to sneak around and beg for some, but she's very polite about it. There are some things she just doesn't seem to do without explicit permission () like explore a new environment (waited on the treshold for me to give the ok) and steal human food. Good girl!

Re: Daily Shred - Monday.

Sounds like she has settled very well.

Its damp and foggy here, but I think part of it may be due to the fireworks and bonfires around here last night.

Mabel and Vincent has been all cozy comfy sat by me - bless.

Violet and Mau Mau have gone out, making up for last night LOL .

Have a good day all x

Foggy but clearing with the sun here.
Aren't I late? OH has a day off so we're being really lazy - he had to dive out of bed at 8.30 to collect a package from the postmam!
Paul Simon tonight! I shall be singing all day tomorrow (so don't say i didn't warn you!)

Re: Daily Shred - Monday.

Snoof - glad you had a lovely weekend and that Sashimi is settling well.

Sweet - pleased everything seems calm in your household

DM - enjoy Paul Simon. Are you going far to see him?

Had a frantic morning with hubby doing the usual silliness prior to a big meeting (he has a big meeting this afternoon) and getting stroppy coz he can't find anything to wear. We have a scene nearly everytime he needs to wear something other that jeans

I have the health visitor coming at midday then Sebastian's 1st set of innoculations and THEN I will be going to Dominik's parents evening on my own. Despite telling hubby all week about the time and date, he still only tells me yesterday that it clashes with his 'big meeting'. If he'd told me sooner I could have changed the appointment time *mutters 'give me strength' under breath*

Inbetween that I have to replenish the fridge with fruit/veg and it froze and therefore ruined everything when it stopped working. Oh, and Darcy barfed the hugest, longest furball you've ever seem all over my spangly flip-flops. Much bigger and I could have used it as a draught excluder LOL!!!

Nuff ramblings. Have a lovely day one and all

Blimey Yola my life's ever so boring compared to yours

Been shopping, cats are lazing around, Moli in Louise's room, Salt under the floorboards in the bathroom (bath not encased yet so she gets down behind the plumbing) nad not sure where Timmy is, haven't seen him since Thomas put him out this morning.

Nothing much else happening. I've dyed my hair so going to wash the dye off and see what it looks like.

Re: Daily Shred - Monday.

Grey gloomy chilly Monday here. Usual market trip, just putzing around. The stray black cat that Carolyn was feeding before she moved to Oklahoma has moved to my block..she's been sleeping curled up to the brick wall behind the bushes on the west side of my house. This cat is incredibly spooky, seems frightened of people; we think she may have been abused, Anyhow, Carolyn arranged for one of the neighbors in her block to feed her; however, since she seems to have moved to my yard, I started 3 days ago when I first noticed her skulking there. She almost ran when I put down the first plate of food within reach; later it was eaten. Yesterday she didn't run when I put it down, but waited till I had moved away a bit before starting to eat (it was sardines in aspic!); today she not only didn't run but came right up and started eating!! (Chicken in gravy). I wonder if the neighbor has been feeding her,,,with this chilly weather, an extra meal certainly won't hurt her. She seems to be a fairly young cat, coal black with big yellow eyes, noi tattered ears or anthing; shiny coat and not thin. I'm hoping I can win her confidence and maybe eventually coax her in....Not sure how Leia would react...badly, I suspect...Will keep you posted...wish me luck! I'm calling her Onyx...Carolyn just referred to her as Guest Kitty, but I think she needs a name!

Eileen, it sounds like the kitty is beginning to trust you now that you are serving up such good dinners! Good of you to look after her now that the winter is coming.

Onyx is a beautiful name too

Re: Daily Shred - Monday.

Thanks,,,actually I "stole"that name from the engineer in Canada, remember, the one who helped Az with the Catsey changeover? His cat was named Onyx, but it's unisex and fits a black kitty...this girl is so spooky...in all the time Carolyn had been feeding her she was never able to pet her...I'm not going to rush things! "Softly. softly catchee monkey"....The sardines were left over from when Patches was alive; she adored sardines, Leia detests them!
