Daily thread - Wednesday

Good morning! One of those dull, doing-nothings days weatherwise, though rain forecast later. Had amazing outbursts of heavy rain yesterday, after a bright start, but it eased enough later to let Dinah and me get out up the lane to hurl a few sticks around and get out of breath and cause the tongue to loll out of the maw. Well, it did for me anyway, Dinah remained cool!

Am off to the blood donor session at lunchtime, so i've had a hefty breakfast, as they always check you're well nourished before doing the vampire bit. Have chicken noodle soup (from the frame of that famous weekend chicken) for lunch, so i trust i won't be doing any fainting. It's almost always the chaps who do the turning white and falling down bit.

Have a good day!

Morning all, sun is shining brightly but it is perishing! Got a day off from doing the horses this morning. My friend is doing them today.

Not much planned today but the usual cleaning and tidying up.

DM - hope all goes well at the blood donor session

Hope everyone has a lovely day

Re: Daily thread - Wednesday

Giving blood - something I must do but have never got around to . . . norty me!

Today I'm off to get my hair coloured. I'd already made an appointment with another hair salon before I'd heard about Ray . Should be interesting - I'm taking Sebastian with me

Have to pop into a supermarket and get some 'French' bits for Dominik's nursery hamper. Each class is doing a hamper from a different country which will then be auctioned/raffled off at his Christmas Fair. Nice idea!

Heating engineer is here AGAIN as although the fan's been replaced and the heating is running we still only get a short burst of hot water if the heating's on. Otherwise nowt.

Need to also try to find time to try out my new 'mini lateral stepper' - part of the quest for toning/loosing weight and also to write a press release or two for CP.

Re: Daily thread - Wednesday

Look at the time I have just woke up, off work today unwell, was up all night.

It looks damp here, 4 of the cats are out now, Misty and Jac are on the stairs, Jac was becoming more brave last night and Misty had her normal night time cuddles before going back under the bath - hopefully they will learn LOL.

Still no more pics of Jac as yet, hopefully soon, have a lovely day all x

Re: Daily thread - Wednesday

Cold here really cold. Maybe I am feeling it more because I have a nasty cold sore popped up and feel a little rough in myself.
Anyhow enough moaning from me I am moving the bird feeder today and collecting the remaining leaves off the garden.
Its my day off today so shall not be doing loads.

The vet rang following the visit on Sunday and will be popping in to see Cleo toay between 12-1 so will update you all later as he knows she hates the cat carrrier but like all my lot adores the vet/vets (strange animals I have) - SHE WILL BE FINE - I know this as I have inside information ie Cleo

Anyhow speak to you all later. Hope all who feel rough feel better soon and DM - didn't you know you should eat garlic before visits to the vampire clinic not chicken and leak soup

Re: Daily thread - Wednesday

It's a very cold and damp day here, so I'm pleased I haven't got to go out today.

I'm still waiting for the repair man today to call to fix my cooker ....... how I wish they would at least give you an am or pm indication!
I've got the slow cooker on for later so it's not as if I'm relying on the cooker to be fixed early.....

Almost forgot to say, I had a brilliant night's sleep last night after the disastrous one on Monday ........ 7 hours !!!

Have a good day all........ and keep warm

Re: Daily thread - Wednesday

Cold, wet & miserable here today. It brightened up enough for me to take Tilly for a walk and a run in the park.

Tilly is now sleeping behind the computer chair, Timmy is sleeping on the armchair and the other 2 are outside causing trouble somewhere probably

Just put the lamb chops in the oven for tea tonight and will be off soon to chop the veg ready for roasting

The day has improved. I've done my blood donation, so be nice to me! Bought some local sausages to take to M&D tomorrow, OH has taken Dinah out for a walk, so all's well with the world.
Glad you slept Mags. Hope the cooker repair man won't be much longer
