Changing tastes

Do you now love things that when younger you wouldn't have touched with a bargepole be it food/music/clothing/tv????
I find I now wear comfy shoes listen to music I never once would have thinking Country and Western is good.
As well as eating and enjoying faggots never touched them when younger.
And now watch countryfile, and Hymns on Sunday.

So how have your tastes changed?

Re: Changing tastes

Good grief Kazz. I think all that sleep has put your brain into a higher gear, lol!!

I don't think mine have changed that much. I was never a follower of fashion, so I've always lived in comfy clothes, and I've always loved C&W (hate anything with a bass line). My food tastes have changes somewhat, as I never had things like curries when I was younger. And I've always watched Songs of Praise on a sunday, lol!

Re: Changing tastes

Probably my food preferences have changed more than anything; I grew up on good, plain bland American cooking; now adore Thai, Indian, Szechwan and Japanese food: have spices and sauces in my cupboard that my mother would never have heard of, much less used. And my tastes in music have changed also; didn't care for classical when younger, but do now...have loads of classical CDs and listen to the classical station in the evening. Never was much into fashion, and much less now that I'm retired...jeaans and tees!

Re: Changing tastes

Certainly my food tastes have changed enormously but I suspect most peoples have - both due to wider choice available and maturing palates.
Other than that I don't think I've changed a lot (boring!) I don't wear jeans as much as I used to, as I don't think they're particularly flattering to me now.
Oh, I know, I used to love shoes, always looked in shoe-shop windows etc etc. Can't be bothered now .....

Re: Changing tastes

My food tastes have definitely changed somewhat. I now much prefer curries/stir frys/Italian food etc to good old traditional British cuisine.

I actually wear more jeans than I used to! I never used to go anywhere without a mini-skirt on hard to believe now! I very rarely wear heels these days much preferring comfortable shoes

Re: Changing tastes

It would have to be mainly food tastes for me. I used to like fry ups at one time but I binned my frying pan years ago ....... in fact I can't think of the last time I fried anything. I never buy sausages now and used to love them .....

I now like curries (not too hot though), pasta dishes ........ and anything healthy!

Also, like others, I now prefer sensible, comfortable shoes ....... heels are for special ocassions only
