Technology

The way the world is moving on what do you think we will all take for granted in 10 years....I mean 10 years ago I would not have thought we'd have phones in camera's and mobiles that look like something from startrek....or even Ipods where I could store a whole record collection....so what do you think we will be taking for granted in 10 years.....??????????

Re: Technology

Kazz!!! Where are you pulling these from??

That's a hard question to answer because 10 years ago we couldn't have imagined those things, so it's difficult to think what will have changed in 10 years time. Probably pc's will have changed beyond recognition, and who knows what mobiles will be like then! Personally, I would love to see cars being run on something other than petrol and plastic being obsolete (recycling it's a nightmare).

What like on a track system in the air running above the ground - pedestrian safety? would then be superb, maybe cars and house security will be entry via voice or fingerprint recognition maybe computerslike that too?

Could it be that we could be nearer teleportation you know "beam me up Scotty" type of thing????
And simplier things maybe we will have learnt to be kinder to the fellow inhabitants on this planet as well as each other.
Maybe also we will have learnt how to make sure the whole World population has clean water "via" a tablet form and food is available to all.

Re: Technology

That would be great wouldn't it? No cars on the roads, no more deaths due to RTA's. The water tablet would be wonderful too, but I think it will take longer than 1o years for the inhabitants of this planet to learn tolerance and kindness to each other.

Oh I don't know we'll have to sooner or later otherwise we won't be here. But I have great faith in humankind.

The technology for fresh water is here already as far as I know but not in action. Water purifying tablets maybe we should spend our money on those rather than on wars.

But how about a car made of soft material so when it impacts with a person/bone/flesh it cushions the blow????
