Daily Thread / Sunday

Morning all, dry here after a wet night. Going out to buy a Christmas tree later. Hopefully, I will find one I like as I am quite fussy over my 'real' trees Mind you no point in worrying this year with a pup and meezer babies, it'll be a wreck no doubt in a couple of days anyway

Hope you all have a great day whatever you are doing today

Morning Fran, morning everybody.

Well I have just been preparing a beef stew for tonight and herb dumplings I have got loads of housework to do, as we put the Christmas decorations up and the house could do with a clean now!!

Not sure what else I am doing to do today but I think I will take it easy

Morning all!

It's a damp, gloomy morning here and heavy rain forecast for later

Put the tree up yesterday but haven't decorated it yet as we've decided to buy some new lights this year. Cassie seems very interested in it while it is undecorated so I reckon she'll go beserk when it's all trimmed up !

Nothing special in my diary for today so I'll be pottering around

Have a great day everyone!!

Re: Daily Thread / Sunday

It's a beautiful and bright, frosty morning here. Beautiful!
OH has gone off to rugby, the meal (venison casserole) is cooking and won't need further attention, raspberries and luxury vanilla bean ice cream for after, so all I have to do is peel potatoes for buttery mash and prepare and cook the sprouts. Still have to set the fire but that won't take 2 minutes, so a lazy day for me.

Afternoon all
Pouring rain here. Had a nice relaxing weekend after a night out on Friday. It was a bit dull, been better but at least the company was good. Ceilidh danced all night, only stopping for a drink! Wish I had half her energy .
done a mound of ironing and put the evening meal.
Wonder what tonight holds

Sunny and milder; the Arctic cold snap is over, thank God! It's 56F now. To the market; then finally settled down and finished all my Christmas cards! Now, the wrapping, with "help", of course, Leia likes wrapping! Onyx came for lunch, not there just now, but left dry food anyway. All of your dinners mentioned sound delicious: herb dumplings! Venison casserole! Yummy! Have a nice evening, all!

Evening all. Sitting here alternately sweating and shivering. I think I'm down with the lurgi! Was fine until I got up this morning when I started sneezing and have gone downhill from there. Won't be on long tonight, just catching up mostly!

Re: Daily Thread / Sunday

Oh Alex - get yourself wrapped up under your duvet and have a hot toddy Hope you feel better tomorrow x

Busy day here, hubby got up early and did the horses, then he cooked me breakfast - smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast. Porsha and Bliss ate most of my smoked salmon, however

Went and bought a Christmas tree (7ft ) did some Christmas shopping, moved the rabbit nearer the house as it is more sheltered for him, went to Pets at Home to get some cat food, back to the horses etc etc..I'm exhausted! I thought Sunday was a day of rest
