Air freshners

I am after some advice got "transfixed" today down the air freshner aisle in the supermarket normal I don't go down there but due to them rearranging my local sainsbury's I am a little disorintated any how I digress slightly - which if any of the air freshners do you reccomend? I am looking for a nice one, not too over powering maybe a Christmassey smell - or fresh?

Re: Air freshners

Not a fan of air fresheners they always give me a headache! I do use Dettox Neutra Air (I think that is what it is called)

Re: Air freshners

I prefer por pourri to air fresheners to be honest Kazz but do occasionally spray Glade's Magnolia & Vanilla around the house

Re: Air freshners

See thats what I want ADVICE. Never used airfreshner as such but visiting my Uncle Arnie at the home he's in today the "smell" was overwhelmingly not too good but not due to the lack of cleaning I think a few accidents maybe not to bad but I have a sensitive nose I think so fancy putting an airfreshner in his room.

Re: Air freshners

However if you wish to suggest a nice por pourri and or maybe a nice smelling candle or two????? I could be converted. Maybe nice for Christmas - people coming and going.

Re: Air freshners

I tend to buy vanilla scented candles/pot pourri just because I really like the scent. I have bought my mum some Christmas pot pourri and room spray from Crabtree & Evelyn which smells very festive

Re: Air freshners

I prefer the plug-in air freshners. I put it on a low output and find that it gives a small and not too over-powering smell. Some are really sickly and others are strong, so you may find that you go through a few before you find one that suits you. (sorry cant remember the name of mine & i dont have the packaging anymore coz they last for months!)

Re: Air freshners

Kazz if you want an air freshner for a Nursing/Retirement home, I would recommend Neutrodol gel. It isn't overpowering and it neutralises unpleasant smells, a lot of which are unavoidable in the Homes. One lasts about 2 - 3 months ........ I always used to take them into the Nursing Home my father was in and it helped a lot
Here's a link ....... http://www.brosch-chi.co.uk/acatalog/Neutrodol_Gel.html
