Daily Thread - Tuesday

Morning everyone. What a windy night it was here, wind howling down the chimney and rain batteing against the window . Still very windy now. No comeback from Teddies chicken adventure last night yet, but we'll see how today goes, lol! Got to up to the recycling centre later and get rid of all my plastic bottles, then go pay some bills . Hope everyone has a good day.

Re: Daily Thread - Tuesday

Dont have anything planned for today as yet. Derek coaxed me to go for a swim last night. Dont know what hurt more the swim or getting dressed and undressed .
Ceilidh got dressed in record time this morning so not to "hurt" me bless.
All she can talk about is getting Princess .
It was blowing a gale here last night too and the rain! Well thought it was someone chucking stones at the windows.

Good news........................................ Decided that I'm not going to smoke once I go to my new house. Slowley cutting down. Gone from over 20 a day to 14! No one is putting pressure on me and I'm doing it my own way. So I'm quite chuffed. I have warned the family if I fall down not to ridicule me I will do it this time but we all have bad days. Not doing the patches, just slowley cutting down.

Have a good day all.
Alex give my we purr engine a cuddle please from me.

Good for you with the ciggies Jac. It can be a long road but just take it at your own pace.

It's very windy here too. Sebastian is currently NOT screaming, but gurgling in his car seat next to me. We'll see how long that will last . . . bets on whether I finish this post???

Need to pop into town to get some boots repaired, get some nappies and (maybe) get some new black kitten heel boots as my old ones are now beyond repair. I hope the rain holds off. Still, as Dominik is now on his way to nursery I will only have the pram to contend with, and that has a rain cover.

Still feeling a bit deflated, especially as OH now just keeps going on about ' when you're back and work you can do this, this and that'. Great.

Alex - good news about Teddie. Maybe that raw sardine is not such a silly idea?
Jac - don't bother about other people trying to take the p***. That's so stupid! Come here and get support if you want.
Yola - January blues! It's not just you. I hate January in Britain. I'd love to get away....... and you will probably love it when you get back into work. The thrill of the chase etc!

Windy, windy here too. And that sticky fine rain that gets in everywhere. BUT 20/20 cricket on TV (it's really sunny in Australia ) and OH back tonight. House full of warm dog and cats so life's not too bad!

Morning all, damp and windy here this morning Not much planned for today. Just wasting time watching Claude, Bliss, Porsha and Mildred diving in and out of the large cardboard box that the new cooker hood came in . It still has all the polystyrene in it and they are loving diving in all the nooks and crannies I haven't got the heart to throw it out despite it overtaking my dining room a little as they love it soooo much

Jac - well done on the ciggies! Keep up the good work x

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Good for you Jac, you go at your own pace. My OH has been off them just over a year now, and he was a smoker for 23 years!! He used the patches for the first month and then never bothered with them. He had one or two little blips at the beginning, but hey, that's normal! Good luck.

Windy and wet here! January always seems a long dismal month to me ......... but never mind ladies, there is a pic in the local rag today of a daffodil in full bloom! Spring isn't that far away!

Have been having a good clear out in the spare bedroom today and have decided to decorate ....... it's surprising how much 'junk' you accumulate (or I do anyway!)

Enjoy the rest of the day!

And I've had a 'good' vaccuum (i.e moved furniture! ) and the boys now have 5 rediscovered catnip mice to play with! I can hear them thumping about with them upstairs

It's surprising what turns up that you've forgotten about too!
