Which car?

If you had the choice of the following, which car would you prefer?...

& anyone drive any of these?

Renault Megane estate
Ford Focus estate
Ford S-Max

My sister has a Focus, her second, first one did 119,000 miles in 4yrs and never one bit of trouble. Second one, only had it 12mths, same applies, no problems at all. She looked at the C Max and didnt like it.

At some point this year

, but they want to get it ordered & I'm not sure which one to go for. Everyone at work thinks the focus is much better than the megane, although the Smax is something that hasn't been used by us before

I've heard very good reports about the focus.
I think the S-Max is a slightly bigger version of the C-max.

My younger brother had a focus for 3 years, no problems with it at all. Never really heard much about the other 2.

I have a friend that has had Escorts and then Focuses (or would that be Focii

) (when they replaced Escorts) for the last 20 years! She regularly drives her Focus to Austria (she's the one with the little travel business). It's a superb, reliable car that just keeps going.

Don't know what an S-MAX is, and Megane, well we had one as a company car when at B&O (one of our reps drove it), and although a nice enough car, it didn't really stand the high mileage very well.

that's what I've heard about the Meganes, trouble with the stupid ignition key (or lack of) & poor with high milage

Smudgley, a couple of my friends have Meganes and yes the keys can be a problem, one loves hers the other hates it.
