Typical 'sellick' supporters, lol (and I know some of them will be hearts fans too, lol). It is really infuriating when this happens but as you say there's not much that can be done about it. Why not try writing to the football clubs and ask if they can put a message in their matchday programme asking the fans to have a bit of consideration for local residents. Probably won't make much difference, but it might be worth a try! |

We have terrible parking problems when Reading are playing at home - even though the ground is well away from housing. They're trying to persuade businesses to open up their (empty) car parks to allow both home and away fans to park easily. However, when the ground used to be closer to the town centre the parking was completely inconsiderate and car owners used to get really aggresive if challenged Jac - what do you mean when you say it's 'private'? Is it a private road your Mum lives on? |

We have a similar problem here with inconsiderate parkers, and they're churchgoers, of all things! There are quite a few churches in the Dupont Circle area, and on Sundays they double-park and hem in the residents cars,,,police winked at it for years but the residents have gotten up in arms and are complaining bitterly,,,still not being ticketed; apparently the churchgoers feel that as it's been going on for years they should be "grandfathered"...an ongoing problem...glad I don't live in that area.... |

Yes Yola it's a private road. The police wont do naything and the council say the wardens have no durisdicition (sp) cant win. I have been trying to get mum to hound the other owners to get a barrier up but she "cant be bothered". A woman with a pram had to walk up the road yesterday as both sides of the pavement were blocked by Vans, Cars and even jeeps! Sorry rant over. |
