Daily Thread / Wednesday

Morning all, damp and miserable here this morning. I have a rotten headache that has kept me awake in the night Got to get motivated, got the school run and the horses to do and the electrician is supposed to be coming later as he rearranged from coming on Monday. So have to clear the kitchen ready for him.

Hope everyone has a nice day today. I personally will be glad when January is over, it's a gloomy month

Re: Daily Thread / Wednesday

Morning Fran, Morning all.

Its pouring with rain here.

I hope today is better than the past few, yesterday I went a put flowers with a quite a few others on the spot where my ex. died, it was emotional. But, the spot could not of been more pretty, rolling hills, birds singing, sun shining, just like it would of been on Sunday when it happened. He lived for the countryside.

Tonight I have an assessment for another job in our local shopping mall, not sure what it will bring, but experience will be useful.

Enjoy your day all x

Fran - hope you're feeling better soon

Julie - good luck at the assessment and I hope things do get better in the next day or so for you.

Filthy and rainy here today, high winds too. I have to continue on my trek to find Sebastian's special formula powder. Visited about 5 chemists yesterday and not one had the tins I need. I'm down to the last bottle now, so am getting desperate Thing is, the feed seems to be doing wonders for him, it obviously was the cow's milk protein that was causing a problem.

Need to start getting things sorted for Luise's (the au pair) arrival next Wednesday . . . like moving all our junk out of the wardrobe in the spare room etc.

Right, off to finish Elaine's CV and covering letter and then hop in the shower. Oh, and this afternoon I need to get an ad done for my Cats Protection branch . . . it's all go here

Re: Daily Thread / Wednesday

Good morning. It's not nice at all, still dark and very wet. High winds forecast to start later today and more gales tomorrow. Yuk. I admire Kazz for her philosophy that January is good because it's a new start/clean canvas etc but for me it's just a nasty time that has to be endured until the new year really starts, the world comes to life, things start growing etc. I crave the outdoors but hate the wet and cold.
Well, today is the first day of a new era. We are a young and vibrant house, with a 2 year old canine and 2 baby felines. No oldies with health issues, or age-old habits that will not change. I've cleared out the food cupboard, put away the third food bowl, done other cathartic things. I'm feeling quite tired but have a feeling of relief that, barring accidents or unfortunate illnesses I shouldn't have to go through the pain of losing a four-footed baby for, hopefully, (at least) another 10 years. I've lost a pet during the early part of the last 3 years
The boys are still very happy with the new activity centre plus two of the 'Purr' toy mice that had got themselves lost in the food cupboard.
I've twittered - all very cathartic and healing I'm sure.
Hope your day is just as good as it can be - stay dry!

Wet and dull here too. Cold and windy. I hate January!!!

Nothing much to report - usual work then parent evening to see Sean's teachers regarding his progress in his GCSE studies.

Chloe wee'd on the kitchen floor again. She is getting more and more fussy regarding the litter tray. One wee in it is too much for her to use it so its kitchen floor as usual. Not what I wanted to clear up at 7am this morning.

Hope you all have a good day.

Re: Daily Thread / Wednesday

On and off sunshine here after a wet morning, still very mild though.....

My daughter popped in this morning for a cuppa and a natter, it's quite nice to be able to have a chat with her on her own for a change. She's quite excited as they have booked a 5 day break at Euro Disney in May. Katie and Jamie are really looking forward to their first trip "up in the sky"

DM ~ the day after is always hard as there is that emptiness I hope things will seem brighter for you soon...
