Hi everyone!

I found this forum looking for some help with a depressed cat. I also need to talk to others who have been where I am right now. I lost a dear cat on Monday and I am not handling things well myself.

Re: Hi everyone!

Hello sunshine.
I had my old Siamese pts on Tuesday , so I know how you feel.
Is your remaining cat missing the lost one? If so I'm sure time will help, as it will with you.
Try to stay 'normal' for puss who is still with you.
It will get better and the sadness will fade and you will be left with nice memories and happy thoughts.
Take care xxx

(and feel free to post and post and post - it might help and ther is always someone here who understands; no one will say 'but it was just a cat')

Re: Hi everyone!

Yes, Dinahsmum said it all - just talk and talk about it, it'll help you come to terms with your loss. We're all good listeners and many of us have been through similar heartaches with our cats.

Welcome - I hope you find some solace and answers to your questions and that you'll stick around for some of the fun stuff too.

Re: Hi everyone!

Sunshine - if you do another post about the depressed cat in the 'Behaviour' section, you'll get more replies/more will see it (and it may help people searching for that subject in the future). If you feel like it you can do a little 'obituary' for your deceased cat in the 'Gone but not Forgotten'. If you want just to chat, then 'Chat' is the place, and if you want to restrict it to catsey members only, pop it in the 'Members Only'.
