Global warming refugees

Is anyone watching the programme on ITV AT 6.30 in the evening reports on Antearticia and the effects global warming is having on the iceburgs etc the krill are reduced in numbers etc in the oceans etc.

And those poor islanders who are being evactuated soon due to the ice burgs melting and the sea rising - these people do not produce any harmful substances and have no electricity no cars nothing yet their islands are in effect being batterd/sunk by the storms cause from the ice burgs - sure I've got that right. The islands are having so much trouble from the sea that where last year even was their vegetable patches has been taken over by the sea when tide is in and now mosquitoes something that has caused sickness they have never known before.

ALl for the sake of global warming caused by us the West - that poor chap on the telly the chief I think or head man saying The World spends millions on wars on killing each other when they should be spending a little more time on saving the planet they live on otherwise the outcome of no war will matter because there will be no one left to fight. Sense I think.'

Or is it that climate change is a normal part of the planet's cycle. There have been major Ice Ages and mini Ice Ages; the Thames used to regularly freeze in the past and frost fairs were held on the ice. During the last major Ice Age there was ice covering the whole of Scotland and the northern half of England. The planet's climate cools and warms again naturally - when the change gets too great species either adapt or die out in certain areas or become extinct entirely. It's the fear of this happening to us that's causing the kerfuffle.

So a natural event not man made although we may be bringing it forward maybe the planet is fed up of us and isbringing forward our demise - wonder what creatures will come after us?
