Daily thread - Friday

Hi - popping on quickly before going out for the day.
Alex - how's Hayley. Did she bump her head? She may have concussion. I had it a couple of years ago when I hit my head on the fireplace . It took a couple of days to become evident and wasn't severe but I did have nausea and vertigo for at least 2 weeks. If she's unwell today I'd be inclined to go to the doc and get a skull x-ray. Chances are it will be fine and then you know you just have to take things easy till the symptoms go. (((hugs))) Hopefully it's just a delayed shock she's suffering.

Have a good day everyone. It is dull but dry and 'not cold' here

Re: Daily thread - Friday

All is calm - Luise playing with Dominik and Sebastian upstairs and I'm just about to jump in the shower. Still have a horrible sore throat, which is now causing my ears to ache. Eyes feel gritty and head is throbbing. Oh joy

Need to pop to the doctors to pick up Sebastians repeat prescription then to get his formula. Will try and get down to the civic amenity site (the local tip ) as I have some rubbish to dispose of and the stop by the new, big out-of-town Laura Ashley to get some storage boxes.

Julie - I hope you have some luck finding Mau Mau . . .

Morning all, nice dry day here. The horses have actually managed to get out in the fresh air today as the ice has melted. They so miss going out when the ground is too icy. Usual sort of day here. Nothing of any interest going off

Hope you all have a lovely day

Damp day here but a lot milder. Happy to report that Hayley is feeling much better today and so far (fingers crossed) haven't had a phone call from the school. I'll continue to keep an eye on her for the next few days though! Having a good old clear out here, have piled a load of stuff beside the front door to go the charity shop and a bin bag full of rubbish. Hope everyone has a good day. x

Re: Daily thread - Friday

Brrrr! Only thing going on is the weather: translated it into Celsius on the computer so you'll know why my furnace has been running all night and day: it"s -1C and wind chill of -4!!! And I had same bus problems as BM; just missed one and had to wait 25 minutes in that B***** cold! Leia has enough sense not even to ask to go on the porch! But did get my banking and marketing done and aside from feeding Onyx (who made it through the bitter night!) and the birds am staying indoors cocooning! Have a nice evening, all!
