Hi Stac, welcome to Catsey, we all worry when our cats are spayed, its part of loving them so much, sure she will be ok, she will just need to be kept quiet, she will probably sleep for the rest of the day....She will probably still be a bit dopey for the rest of the day......She has the important thing, a mum that loves her.... |

Hi Stac, a warm welcome to Catsey! As Moli has said, we all worry about our cats when they are being spayed but she will be back with you before you know it. She will understandably be sleepy, therefore let her rest in a quiet place and if she is hungry just feed her a small amount at a time. Give her a day or two and she will be back to her normal self.... Please come back and update us on how she is getting on, we would love to hear more from you... |

Thanks you all...i feel better now. I just got a call from the vet saying that everything went well, but they might want to keep her over night to keep an eye on her. At first that worried me, but I was told that it is actually better. When she is hungry should I feed her some soft food? like from a can? or hard food (that she normally eats) I'm working on the picture!!! |

Good news that Tabby is doing well after her op. Usually vets would advise a 'light' diet e.g. chicken or white fish for the first couple of meals after an anaesthetic but since Tabby is stopping at the vets tonight she will probably be fine to have her normal diet again when you get her home. I'm sure your vet will advise you if this is not the case...If you need assistance posting piccies just shout for help |
