Emergency doctor..

Ashleigh started vomitting again this evening & was so dizzy, she nearly fainted. When I took her temp it was 104.F - I rechecked it with another thermometer & it read 104.1F. We phoned the emergency doctor & took her to see him.
She has got the Flu / a throat infection / an ear infection.
She's got medication to stop the vomitting (which also acts as a sedative) antibiotics for the infection, paracetomal for the aches & pains & ibuprofen to bring the temp down, so hopefully will pick up soon.

John was cheeky & asked Doc to advise him about his symptoms & he confirmed John has got the flu too.....(he could hardly stand up in the doctors, but didn't want me going on my own) Doctor told him to rest & drink plenty of fluids!

My throat is sore & I'm getting aches too.... I think it's coming to me next

Re: Emergency doctor..

Thankyou Fran.
When John started with it on Wed, I decided to sleep in Ashleighs bed as I didn't want to catch what he'd got, but then Ashleigh has it now anyway... so I can't win.

I'm going to bed now as I feel rough.

Night x

Re: Emergency doctor..

Oh my gosh, that sounds awful! It's scary when children are ill . . .and poor Ashleigh sounds like she has it bad. I hope everyone is feeling a little brighter tomorrow, especially your husband - you probably need his help right now!

It does amaze me that a child feeling obviously ill as your daughter now has to be taken to see the doctor rather than the doctor coming to her . . .
