daily thread - Tuesday

Yawn! 6.25, it's still nearly yesterday! OH had to be up and off early and of course we're evicted from our bedroom till the carpet is done, so we didn't sleep that well (separate rooms; we haven't rowed, it just worked out easier that way! ) So, I'm up and tapping, as an alternative to getting up and dressed, which would also mean feeding the beasts and it's way too early for that - they won't last till teatime.
We went to see a house yesterday. Quite nice but not quite "it". We've been trying to analyse what's brought about this restlessness and came to the conclusion it's probably the impending new neighbours. Nothing wrong with that - I've never met them but the current neighbours assure me they are nice - it's just that our current neighbours aren't there very much, and we've grown used to behaving as though we have no neighbours (you know - nude sunbathing, debauched parties etc - not really, but just enjoying the freedom to do whatever - vacuum at 6am or whatever takes our fancy) So, who knows what wil happen on that score. Maybe my new carpet will make me settle down again.
Hope the sun shines today and cheers up the many people who sem unwell at present. Berocca vitamin complex is good as a post-viral pick-me-up and echinacea seems to keep infections at bay for the future.

Re: daily thread - Tuesday

Morning DM, morning all, haven't looked out of the curtains yet so not sure what the weather is doing outside. Hubby was up early for work so I'm just enjoying a kitty chuddle and a coffee in bed before the mad rush of the children getting ready for school! Not a great deal planned for today, need to get some tidying round done and general jobs around the house.

Hope all the sick people are starting to feel better today

Have a good day!

Re: daily thread - Tuesday

Morning all! Nope, this sick person isn't feeling any better today. Didn't get to sleep until almost 2 am, and then spent most of what I did manage, waking up coughing!! Hoping that I get a phone call nice and early from the bank, so I can come home and go back to bed for a while. Not taking the kids to Girls Brigade tonight, as there is no way I'm walking around the shops for 2 hours in this state! Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,

Think I am on the end of my Catsey lurgy now....phew, still sniffling a bit, but not coughing as much...phew.

Its damp out, more house chores today, plus a quick Bank and Shop run, Daughter wants to go swimming later, she may just tag along with the neighbours.

Will take her on a Day Out tomorrow, very unusual for me, normally we would be out every day here and there.

Will catch up on here, then the hoover gets it x

Re: daily thread - Tuesday

Hi, I feel really rough again today & I was starting to feel a bit better yesterday.... hubby is a little better although doctor has signed him off work for another week.
Ahlsigh hasn't gone to school & I'm going to keep her off all week. She wants to go back, but she's still weak & I want her to be right before sending her back.

Today is Lucy's birthday, the little birthday girl, who had to have her party cancelled is now 9 years old!
She is still showing no signs of catching the flu & went off to school quite happily today.

I have got her presents ready for when she gets home, then she'll be off to Brownies.

Not much planned for today.

Smudgley - and others - I've heard a lot of people say this awful thing is taking 2 or even 3 weeks to leave them. And they're feeling bad for all that time, not just a bit tired/post viral fatigue etc.
So, lots of rest, lots of fluids, Berocca tablets and be good to yourselves.

Re: daily thread - Tuesday

Phew - carpet men gone at last. It was a big job for them, particularly taking 5m x 5m of carpet up 2 flights!
Guess what? Chester has been sick twice this morning. Not on the new carpet - the door is firmly shut! The boys have been safe in the garage whilst the work was being done, but they're pleased to be back in. White fish has been cooked for later - maybe it was yesterday's sardine that upset him? he looks OK anyway.

Sorry, I seem to have missed so much. Derek has a really bad attack of gout for nearly a week. The Doc has said he'll chase the report from the hospital.
I'm knackered. Between his gout and my back phew. Got to go for Ceilidh shortly but will be back after that.
Darryle has now moved in with Sean. Took him shopping this morning.
Tahts it for just now exept I DONT SMOKE. Totally smoke free!!!!!!!!!!!!
