What fantastic pics Eileen ........ proper Christmas card scenes!!  I know it isn't very nice to go out in but I have to admit snowy scenes are lovely to look at. I hope you have all your food cupboards well stocked ...... it doesn't look like you'll be venturing out in that for a while  I hope Onyx manages to make it round for her meals too.Keep warm and stay safe Eileen ......... the best place is on Catsey when it's like that!!!   |

It's worse now! These were taken about 11:45 this morning and it's deeper now! I've shoveled three times...a lot easier to shovel one inch each time than wait and try to shovel three or four once...this is a heavy wet snow. Yes, the larder is well stocked; I've learned over the years that often the streets aren't plowed and the buses don't run; so am always prepared to be snowed in! Tonight's dinner will be broiled swordfish, fresh spinach. a roll and curried potatoes. No signs of Onyx when I finished the last shoveling; she's holed up out of it somewhere....but hungry...  |

The scenery is picture-postcard stuff Eileen, but I can appreciate that getting around in the white stuff is less that pleasant! Your dinner sounds lovely and I hope Onyx turns up soon. |

The first picture is my neighbor's yard looking East; the next two are of my front yard...that large snow covered tree to the left is my Japanese red maple. It's gorgeous in the Fall,,,church-window stained glass crimson! |

Wow thats snow. If it gets too bad will your local supermarket or whatever deliver to you if you order online? Just a suggestion. Sure Onynx is fine she now has layers of fat thanks to your care and will be out when she feels its okay, better to hole up and sleep than waste energy. Karen |

Yes, the Safeway does deliver; I have all the heavy stuff delivered every other week, and just pop in for fruit, vegetables and meat....am way too picky to have someone else choose them for me! I have a delivery scheduled for Thursday this week. But it's supposed to warm up by tomorrow and start melting; may be stuck indoors one more day, but can cope with that! At least it wasn't ice!! |
