Morning DM, glad it's not just me that will be up to my arm pits in manure this morning - have fun! Morning all, nice sunny day here Nothing special planned. Got to pack Em's back for the residential trip she is going on tomorrow with School. Mildred's breeder has invited me round for a coffee and a chat later on this afternoon and to see the new babies she had arrive over the weekend (all torties and tabbies - my favourite! ) Good job they are not old enough to leave!!! Hope you all have a lovely day and that the sun is shining where you are this morning |

Fran ~ I would have thought your garden was blooming what with your regular supply of manure from Bootsy your roses would look a treat! |

It's such a beautiful day - more May than March. The allotments were teeming with people, and it's great because we are all able to get the plots looking great before real weed season arrives - we are usually unable to do a lot of work at this time of year because it's too wet or too cold. It's amazing how much it has dried just in the last week. Well I barrowed my 13 wheelbarrowsfull (£5) of manure. Most left in a heap to rot down further and some on my rhubarb and currants and gooseberries. Also did a lot of tidying and soil turning. 4 hours from 9.30 to 1.30 - and now I am a bit stiff. OH has returned and says he will treat me to a steak at the Tuesday steak night down the pub. Sounds good to me! |
