I'd offer to lend you Rover, he thinks they're his natural food, but I'd never get him back.

Re: 13 Spiders...

Spider (or anything with in excess of 4 legs) catching is such good sport!
I love it when all 3 of my furries surround one of these fearsome beasties. They are all wusses at heart, especially Dinah the *fierce* staffie. She looks down her nose onto the creature, probably on its back and waving as many legs still function, with her brow furrowed into deep deep grooves. You wonder what cortal connections are happening - probably very few! Then the new pet doesn't move (after having a big hoof brought down on it, or being tasted one too many times) any more, and I put on a tone of mock horror/sorrow "Oh Dinah, what have you done?" She skulks away, looking apologetic. Ah, what good sport!

Re: 13 Spiders...

I am terrified of (real) spiders! None of my cats have ever gotten the chance to play with one because I swat it or stomp on it as soon as I see one! I especially hate the orb weavers, the huge ones outdoors that spin a web right across the sidewalk...one morning on the way to work and not paying attention I walked right into it...you could have heard my scream 5 blocks away!!! I'm a real wuss when it comes to spiders...... !

Re: 13 Spiders...

Aww bless you DM, I am like that about worms, slugs and hairy caterpillars. I once ran a mile coz i thought an ex was chasing me with a caterpiller, had to get through a stile gate and he was gaining on me, the pannick was feirce, I spun on my heals to run again, fell over and ended up with a face covered in rabbit poo. Ofcourse this all happened just as 2 family groups were coming towrds us, Oh how they laughed.
And guess what?
He didnt even have the caterpiller in his hands.
