Daily Thread / Monday

Morning all, nice sunny day here after the snow fall yesterday/during the night. Not much planned for today. Got to nip to the Post Office and pick up some Royal Canin biscuits for the cats. Other than that it'll be tidying round after the wekend.

Hope you all have a lovely day

Morning Fran. morning all. Lovely bright sunny morning here but much cooler than last week.
OH has woken up poorly, with a good, rattly, chesty cough/cold. Unlike him but I'm sure he'll be fine soon.
No news otherwise.
Have a good day everyone

Morning all,

Its just started to sleet/snow ever so slightly....certainly a change from last week.

My Daughter is off school feeling unwell, I think the dreaded flu type thing is around again.

I have a bit of running around to do, shopping for food, post office that sort of thing, but will judge how shes feeling.

Have a good day x

Afternoon all,

It's a very cold and windy day here with the sun occasionally breaking through the clouds.

Had an appointment at the opiticians this morning for my 2 year check ........ I needed a new prescription, which meant I needed new glasses....... which ended up with me leaving the opticians £370 lighter

I hope everyone is having a good day!

......... and that's exactly why I persuaded myself that £100 a year-ish, for wear all the time lenses was a bargain! Ridiculous price Mags - I think it's one of the biggest rip-offs. Specs are only a bit of plastic for the frames and some optical glass/plastic - not rocket science

Re: Daily Thread / Monday

Yes, mad weather here too. From large hailstones through to bright sunshine. Bitterly cold wind though and the heating has come back on pronto. Brrrr. Hopefully it's the last blast of winter before spring arrives

Have misplaced my sunglasses. I thought I left them in the pet shop when I bought my RC this morning but when I phoned he (rather hastily methinks) said that no, he hadn't seen them at all. They were DKNY ones and I lived in them unless it was nighttime so I'm a bit miffed.

Apart from that, done the weekly shopping, brushed and cleaned that cats and will be off to collect Dominik in a ittle while.

Re: Daily Thread / Monday

Afternoon all! Some major weather here! Snow, sleet, rain and hail the size of golf balls! nasty wind too and bitterly cold. I've just had the Occupational Therapist out to assess me for a shower. I got the ok and should have one fitted in about 12 months, which is a lot better than it used to be. Until things changed last year it was 2 - 3 years!!! In the meantime she's going to get me a blow up seat thingy for the bath to help me get in and out, and also a perch stool to have in the kitchen for cooking and things! So they will be a big help. Hope everyone has a good day!

I know what you mean DM, I wish I could wear contact lenses but I just haven't got the guts to go for them. The thought of putting them in and taking them out of my eyes doesn't appeal to me
