This man was talking on Radio 5 Live at midnight last night on their phone in programme. I agree it is a very sad case and the turmoil he must have gone through was hell. Just goes to show that it is always wise to get a second opinion. There were mixed reactions to him on the radio last night, he said he got rid of his car, clothes etc and spent all his savings on restaurant meals every night for his family and friends. He got rid of everything!. The listeners who phoned in couldn't understand why he didn't make any provision for his wife and family he was leaving behind if he knew he was going to die. That's beside the point though, it is still a very sad case and it looks like the hospital will not compensate him for it. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/cornwall/6615351.stm |

What an awful situation, but having a friend who lost her husband at Christmas to pancreatic cancer just 6 weeks after diagnosis & at the age of just 49! I can only say I wish Simon had the chance to be told it was a mistaken diagnosis. Instead he is no longer here - leaving his family who had no time to adjust to the sad news, before he died. |

I didn't see that one Kazz but a couple of years ago there was a similar story in one of the woman's mags. The couple went on a world cruise and spent money they didn't have. Good news at the end of the day but they were up to there neck's in debt. His thinking was if he wasn't here the debt would have been written off! |
