Sorry everyone

Didn't mean to panic you all (nice to be missed though ). It was a last minute thing to go up to Scotland. OH and I had talked about it a few weeks ago but decided not to as it would be a long journey in a new car, but on the friday my FIL wasn't doing too well at all, so OH deceided that he really wanted to go up to see him. So spent friday night and saturday morning sorting out cat care (CPL cats went to the vets boarding cattery), Broxi and Cooper survived with the automatic feeder and the next door neighbour popping in and Teddie came with us!! FIL turned out not to be suffernig from Pneumonia as first thought but rather legionella!! He was in a very bad way to begin with and tbh everyone, including himself is very surprised he is still with us. Since they discovered what it was and began treating accordingly he has come on leaps and bounds and hopefully will be sent home on friday! A mere shadow of his former self and going to have to take it easy for quite some time but thankfully still here. Thank you all for your concern and it was really nice to know that I had been missed. Thanks all ((hugs))

It's lovely to see you back Alex........see no-one can go missing on here without us wondering!! I did think after that is where you may have gone as I remembered you saying your FIL was very ill. Pleased to hear he is getting better now, it must have been a worry for you all

How was the lovely Teddie with the journey?

Re: Sorry everyone

It was very worrying indeed Mags, not helped by the distance at least once in Scotland we helped by taking some of the visiting burden off of my MIL and being able to take her to the hospital by car instead of her having to make a hour and a half bus journey! Teddie coped very well with the trip. Just settles down and goes to sleep and no tummy troubles either!!

Glad you're back, Alex; you were missed! Legionella's a nasty bug, good that they got the correct diagnosis and FIL is improving. (((hugs))) to Teddie the seasoned traveler!
