Daily thread - Saturday

Dry! Sun trying to shine! Don't think it will last long so am writing this then heading off to the allotment to pick the soft fruit before it all rots away or the slugs have it all, and to water in the polytunnel. Won't be long for the first tomato of the season - they are up to size but need to turn from green to red!
I'm alone all weekend, so will hope for enough dry(ish) weather to get out for a walk with Dinah, then do some more sorting out for our holiday with the grannies.
Hope the sun shines on all of you for at least some of the day

Re: Daily thread - Saturday

Morning Dinahsmum,

Off to have my hair cut soon, just a trim, do a bit of food shopping and then me and the OH are off to Lakeside, looking for some black jewellery for next week as it is my brothers wedding and it is the only thing I need to get.

Might have a look at the ipods as well when we are there.

Have a great day everybody!!!

I am off to get my haircut too Emma!!!

Might be a bit more drastic than just a trim though as it has got so long and uncontrollable!!! Might have some colour too to cover the odd grey one!!!

Nothing much else planned but need to food shop.

Have a good day all!

Re: Daily thread - Saturday

Overcast but still retaining a bit of brightness here. OH has taken the kids out for a walk to Marlow or Cookham or somewhere vaguely 'rivvery' . . . I have my 2 school friends coming over at midday; one from Droitwich and one from Wimbledon and we'll be having a long, leisurely lunch at Carluccios. Should be a nice relaxing day!

Luise is off for a weekend in London as it's her last weekend here. It's going to be strange being in the house overnight on our own - she's never spent a night away since she's been here (January).

But I fear an early night will beckon (just to sleep mind you), as we succumbed and watched some of our Life on Mars DVD yesterday and didn't get to bed til 11.45

Morning all, overcast and no sign of the sun today........at least it's still dry though...

Just the usual household tasks today, shopping has been done and the washing is out on the line, hopefully drying before the rain starts!

Have a good weekend everyone!

The rain here doesn't look like it's going to halt today . May take Ceilidh up to the local soft play area and let her burn off some energy.
Derek has just been on the phone. There really short staffed so he's staying on untill about 7.30.
Looks like you guys have me for most of the day
