Fran - any news on Em? I do hope she's fully back to normal today.

It's pouring here. OH will be decorating and I will be minding the boys. Not much else happening really. Atmosphere icy to say the least

Re: Daily Thread/Sunday

What a filthy day. Was woken at 7.30 by rain thundering down; the roads were running with water up to kerb level. No sign of it stopping in the near future - no totally dry days forecast in the next 10
Fran - hope you will find time to post a bulletin on Em. And certainly hope she'll be fine. You must, naturally, be very worried. ((hugs)). Could it be hormonal? Is she that sort of age?
Yola - chin up gal. Can't offer any words of wisdom I'm afraid, but I must say that I find moody adults even more tedious than moody teenagers, who at least have a developmental excuse.
I think I'll just busy myself for my MIL coming (eek) and then prepare a roast for when my wandering OH reappears about 6 tonight.
Keep dry; keep smiling

Re: Daily Thread/Sunday

Morning all, the sun is out here at the minute. Thanks all for your good wishes for Em, she fell to sleep more or less as soon as well got home. I checked on her every two hours in the night that I was able to rouse her from her sleep. She doesn't seem totally 'back to normal' she has a bad headache and her behaviour is quite bizarre at times. I will keep an eye on her through the day and obviously take her back to the hospital if necessary. She must not be feeling right as she herself has said that she is not well enough to go swimming with her friends today which is very unusual for her she'd not normally miss out on something like that even if she were at death's door. I'm rather glad she has decided this herself as I wasn't looking forwad to an arguement over it DM, yes she is at the start of those hormonal years, whether it could be related or not, I just don't know. The only other thing I can put it down to is exhaustion? She played in a Netball tournament of around 6 games of netball or more on Friday afternoon, went straight and did 2 hours of Cheerleading practice and then up early Saturday morning for 2 hours of Netball practice. She is however used to having such a busy life so I really don't know if this could be the reason either

Morning all
Fran I'm sorry I must have missed something about Em. I hope she is back to her normal self soon. By the sound of it has she banged her head?
Kids are such a worry at times and the dreaded hormones are a nightmare!
We have nothing planned at all for today as OH is working a double shift which means I wont see him till about 10.30. He was away before I woke.
Oh well means's I'll get the housework done.

Yola, I hope your day isn't too bad. I for one am sure the males go through some kind of menopause.

Could well be a combination of busy busy busy and the hormones, couldn't it? Does she eat well and steadily (not feast & fast?) Low blood sugar as a result of busy plus muddled hormones must be a prime suspect. Lots of slow release foods - porridge, meusli etc etc - the low GI things.
Do you have to go back to the hospital or just watch & wait/see your GP? I'm sure Em won't want a fuss but nonetheless you will want to feel you've covered everything.
Oh, and when i banged my head/maybe lost consciousness, it took about 3 weeks until I really felt myself, and even longer for the exaggerated motion sickness to resolve. ((hugs)) again
