The rescue cats {24th June}

Oscar the clown has been reserved at last. He will be going in a few days.

Midnight has gone & 5 of her kittens have gone. the 6th one has now been reserved & is going to live with one of Stars kittens.

Cara is now spayed & awaiting a new home. She is doing well, but as she is carrying a virus, a home will be hard to find for her now.

Star is ok & will be spayed soon & go back to the lady who found her. One of her kittens is reserved (the one going to live with Midnights kitten) the other 3 need to find homes.

I didn't really want to have any more in for a few weeks, once these lot go - so that I could be empty when we go on holiday in August(have never had an empty pen for more than a day or 2 since I started fostering) however the amount of cats with litters in gardens / sheds / fields etc is quite unbelievable at the moment. People get frustrated when we can't take them in, but we just do not have the space for any more than we currently have in. So I guess I will be taking in more once Oscar & Midnights last kitten go. How could I not?!

Fantastic to hear that Oscar has found a new home at last Smudgley! And that so many of the others have gone too. Keeping everything crossed for Cara to find somewhere special soon. Amazing where all these cats appear from isn't it?

It is amazing Alex, it would make more sense if they were all wild & unfriendly - but they aren't, they are all friendly cats with kittens, everywhere, it really makes you wonder where on earth they all come from.

Great news that Oscar has found a home at last!!

Kitties appear to be moving quite well with you at the moment Smudgley but Poor Cara will be the worry......I do hope some kind hearted person will take a shine to her, she deserves a lovely home.

It doesn't sound as if you can ease up yet on the kitty front either I know it's not in your nature to turn any away. Let's hope things ease off a bit very soon and you will be able to enjoy a well deserved holiday....

Re: The rescue cats {24th June}

Well excellent news, how old are Star's kittens now? so pleased the adults are going too Midnight and Oscar and Star. Sure the three kittens will have homes soon.

What virus does Cara have? I am sure thr right home will come up for her you said she is a lovely girl.

Must seem like a never ending circle - such such a shame but I wonder how many more cats /kittens would be out there without the work of the CPL.

A friend of mine lives in a ground floor flat they have two middle aged cats about 12/13 and 9/10/11 they are both Toms (neutured) they have access to outside. Both were rescues hence the rough guess on the ages.
There were three cats but the older one Sybil was PTS January she was 17. They have said they may consider getting another cat, a female and middle aged, and I know Cara is about 8 you said. I could put a word in for Cara.
