Horrible sounding news of a fatality in Hull - poor man trapped in a drain for 3 hours. Don't know any details.

BUT - it's stopped here (for five minutes anyway) OH and Dinah have scooted up the lane for a run before we all go stit crazy!

I live near hull and its realy flooded couldnt get out of the villiage to take son to dentist. The man that died had got his foot trapped while trying to clear a drain. Sadly they tried for 3 hours to rescue him from it they had rescue divers and doctors there but couldnt save him. I realy feel so sorry for his family for what has happened. It shouldnt happen here.

Well I had a sleep, then felt better but now am feeling sick and a bit 'odd' again, but need to get my head together as I have to go and fetch Dominik shortly. I think you're right, there's a large element of shock - it really was THE most unpleasant thing

I'm really sorry to hear of the awful weather you've been having...hopefully the pattern will change in time for some real Summer, which is too short anyway! It reminds me of last Summer here when it rained for practically the entire month of June...over 14 inches! But we were spared the dreadful flooding, thank God!

Re: Here we go again!

They're renewing all the windows and external wall panels at work. This is a long-lasting project, big buildings! and boy is it cold at the moment with no external walls in places!
I feel really sorry for the workmen with this awful weather, trying to carry on with the job.
