No, I don't think he will do it Jac, and I don't think he can do it! It's too tricky a situation now. if they suddenly yank the troops out all hell will break loose, it's going to be a while yet I'm afraid.

He could instigate it though. Make a start in "words" I think come election time that will play a big part.
Did anyone see the bit on TV where the young lad brought his dead brother back? It was so sad!!!!

I don't watch any of it now tbh Jac. I think there is no place for tv cameras in war and can't bear to see all the people, civilians and soldiers being attacked and such! Have they not already started talking about withdrawal dates/ I'm sure I heard one of the top army men discussing this recently and saying it will be at least 18 months before they even think of withdrawing!

Re: Gordon Brown pm on Wed

I try not to but this was on our local news.

With Sean going back in a few months I do tend to watch a bit more about what's going on. Daft really as when he's there I dont watch the news at all.
Remember Derek's going out next year as well so with two loved one's involved I really do have a vested interest

I would love for somebody to have the guts to draw a line under this madness. Sadly I don't think it will be Gordon. Jac - I think it's often those at home waiting patiently for family to return who are overlooked and who are equally as brave as those on the front line.
