Re: Daily thread Friday

Good Morning every-one

The sun is shining but I can see some clouds starting to gather so I don't think it will last long! Can't get anything posted today because of the postal strike - total pain - hope it doesn't affect small businesses too badly!

My mum and dad are going to Yorkshire today for a caravan holiday hope the weather isn't going to be too bad - they phoned the caravn site and they said there had been some flooding but its not too bad!

My most favourite time of the year - school holidays - not kids fighting, parents fighting cause the kids are fighting lots of fun

I dont know why they just cant all have the same holidays. Stupid!! Some of the private schools finished last week.
Never mind. My friend was in Ireland while her hubby was based there and they get 3 months!
Sun's out here for a change Fran. I really hope you dont get too much rain.
Ceilidh was watching the floods on TV and decided God was not nice to do that to people.

Aww bless Ceilidh. Such a wise head on such young shoulders.

Emm, your parents are very brave indeed, it's predicted that there will be more flooding tomorrow and that it could be worse than the last time Where abouts in Yorkshire are they going?

omg really? They mentioned it last night but I honestly can't remember - I'll say to them about that, I said last night you are probably better to try and go somewhere else but they love Yorkshire so much.

Well, not all of Yorkshire has been badly hit by the floods, I suppose it depends on where abouts they are going. The Met office have issued a flood warning for tomorrow but we are ever hopeful that they may just be over reacting and perhaps the predicted rain won't be all that bad. None the less I did a big trolley dash this morning just in case

That's quite frightening. I really hope they have got it wrong and are over re acting. Getting quite black here now. Off for Ceilidh in a mo.
See you all later.

Re: Daily thread Friday

thanks for the link - thats a large part of England with severe weather forecasted - hopefully it won't be as bad as predicted. Can't imagine how it must be for all those people affected - it must be heart breaking having your home ruined like that
