Oscar Pistorius

Have you followed this brave chap's story?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/othe...rt/4487443.stm
I couldn't run 40metres and he does 400 without any lower legs! Amazing! Good on him ......
.... but I don't think he should take part in serious 'able-bodied' competitions, such as the Olympics. Technology is such that sooner or later his blades will make him faster than the other althletes.

Re: Oscar Pistorius

I haven't seen that particular gentleman but I have watched double amputees racing and am amazed at the speed they go. The 'foot' is literally just like a blade and I have wondered before now how much spring there is in it....

It's an amazing fete anyway! (excuse the pun)
