we have deaf birds around here

because reggie came in with an adult sparrow in his mouth, all pleased with himself.he was settling himself down to have a nice munch when OH removed it, reggie then walked around grumbling looking for his prize.
BTW the bird had to be deal reggies got 2 bells on his collar and i can hear him coming up the path. so def a case of deaf birds.

BM, as soon as I saw the title I knew what it was going to be about!! Some good hunters can learn to stalk without ringing the bells....

Re: we have deaf birds around here

the bells are pretty hopeless in helping to scare birds away because the way the cats use their bodies to stalk their prey they don't jingle the bell.

poor wee birdie - I keep telling my cats that we are against hunting for sport in this household.... they never listen to me

It's Darwin in action BM - survival of the fittest! That bird wasn't well equipped to survive and pass on its genes.
I'm glad your boys are enjoying the rural lifestyle

Socks so far (Even though he's a kitten) is a very lousy hunter -_-;; He just runs at them...not a bit of stealth..

However, Maiah cought a little blue-tailed lizard today, but she's been hanging around Garfeild alot too. lol
