Lost in the floods.

I've just been watching the floods all over the country on TV and several people were interviewed who had flood damage. In true British spirit they were smiling their way through their losses and saying ....We've just got to get on with it!" What a nice attitude facing up to it like this...

On the sad side, the floods are especially bad in S.E. Wales ........ Rescuers found the bodies of two cats who had drowned in the torrents...

Re: Lost in the floods.

Great people for looking at the positive side - poor kitties though

When it started flooding round here my first thought was animals (sorry humans :P). What do you do with a kitty? A cattery I guess, but that can be expensive and some kitties, especially elderly ones, aren't up to date with vaccs etc. Then there's smaller animals aswell - I know I would NOT be able to leave behind my hammies and piggies, but what would I do with them??

awww poor babies
Jerry isnt happy because hes being kept in while the weather is like this, hes just sat sulking by the back door at the moment, the river (just over the back from our house)has started flooding,Im not taking any chances at all.
Even the dogs off lead walks have to be put on hold because the field we usually walk them on has gone all marshy.

It's a really sorry state of affairs and how people are managing to remain so cheerful is beyond me. Poor kitties

It makes me think of the song Kazz...."Always look on the bright side of life"

Another old song that fits: "Accentuate the Positive! " But oh, the poor animals. It was like that in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. I don't know what I'd do if I lived in a flood-prone area.......
