Re: daily thread- saturday

Hi! Woke up to clear blue sky and sunshine but it's sooo black now.... won't be long before we get rain (again ). My son was on the M5 yesterday - think he must have been one of the last to get off before it closed down. Took him ages to drive from south of Brum and he just dived off at the Tewkesbury junction and made his way home to Cheltenham. Lucky!
I've been amusing myself these last few wet days by making plans for our holday in France - just hope the sun is still shining when we get there in mid-September.
Been to the allotment to pick some salad veg/beans etc. What a sad and sorry sight. Potatoes blighted, crops swamped etc etc. And to think we were all busy planning and planting for drought!
Hope everyone manages to stay dry and has a good day.

Re: daily thread- saturday

No sun here today and the sky looks very threatening.... I feel so sorry for all those people on or going away for their holidays in this country. My daughter and family go to Devon next Saturday and we are going the following Saturday......fingers crossed that it will will brighter then...

I've done the shopping so no need to go out again today.

Stay safe, stay dry everyone......

Re: daily thread- saturday

Well its done nothing but rain here, so bad that even Tess refused point blank to go out. Now this is a dog who adores being outdoors but eventually she decided to do whather big sister Sal does ran out under the table had a wee there (under cover) then back in. Dogs eh? Cleo has taken a couple of glances out but stayed in.

Oh we have a new cat well in the area a young light ginger and ginger - about 7- 8 months old I would think, he/she looks lovely has a nice collar in black so no clues on sex from the collar colour. Very friendly though.

Rain is still coming down as I speak, no let up really apart from about 3-4 minutes then off we go again.

Smudgley safe journey.
Karen

Re: daily thread- saturday

Raining here too but only light at the moment.

Cassie just refuses to go out in this weather, can't say I blame her .......I've never had to empty the litter tray so many times in a week before!
