Re: daily thread- wednesday

Morning Mabel, morning all, throwing it down with rain here Em is off on her school trip to Lightwater Valley today, I do hope the weather is better there than it is here! I'm off to the vets later this morning, Bliss is having her booster jabs. Other than that, not much planned. I've bought some material to make Morsey a hammock for his house as he loves the one on the bottom of the cat tree, so will probably have a go at that this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day

Re: daily thread- wednesday

First day of school holidays here - so needless to say, both kids fast asleep in bed!!!!

I am off to work as I cant take 6 weeks summer holiday (DAMN!!) and as kids are now older can leave them to it for today.... will be doing half days for most of the summer holidays so will be home by 12pm to sort the kids out generally (usually get home and they still not out of bed at 12!!)

Have a good day all.

Re: daily thread- wednesday

Good morning. Looks like it will rain shortly - that will make a change
Yola - hope you're keeping your head above water, literally and metaphorically. Are you sandbagged? Your lovely basement ...........?
The longer term forecast looks slightly better but that's looking to the end of next week. Hope it will cheer up soon for the remainder of the school holidays.
No plans - gardening if fine, nowt much if wet.
Have the best and driest day you can

Re: daily thread- wednesday

DM - we're on a hill so not too worried about flood waters. The Thames is a bit of a way away, River Kennet is close, but there don't seem to be too many concerned about it.

I will be going into the office late today as Sebastian is having another 2/3 of a day in nursery pending a full-on start next Monday and there's not much point me going in before then. I will then see how badly (or otherwise) Pangbourne has been hit.

Have just arranged for my car to be collected next Tuesday - it will be sad to see it go. As they are dragging their heels over the Nissan Murano it looks like I will have to drive our company Hyundai Coupe for a bit . . . horrid car and a pig for getting babies in and out of Still - it's a set of wheels I suppose.

Re: daily thread- wednesday

morning all, had four hours sleep due to feeling like i have some tummy virus or flu. my throat was a little sore last night and i was getting sweats and chills. however, so far so good..feeling okay now (crosses fingers). kuan yin is to go into the vet today at 3pm for her second round of vaccinations. i would like her to get on frontline since the recent flea problem but my boyfriend said the checks not going to clear if it's over the vax price. she had two baths yesterday and i washed all the bedding in her room and ours...my bites seem to be getting better and i have no new ones so i hope the same goes for her. i don't want her to suffer just cuz we're broke at the moment. however, i do get my welfare assistance on the 1st and i suppose i could go back and buy it then..that wouldn't bee too long of a wait...i'm just concerned i guess. at four weeks she was 3/4 lb., 6 weeks 1 and 1/4 lb., now she's 8 weeks and i think she looks huge right now in comparison to before. will be interesting to see how much she's grown..don't have money for a proper carrier right now so i'm going to use the plastic tub that's emptied out from her kitty litter and poke holes in the lid...i guess that'll work. i'm going to try to take another cat nap right now before i have to get up and run some errands before the appointment. anyway, hope everyone's day is good
