I am being prosecuted
For driving in the bus lane after work
Now normally when I finnish work the lane is open to normal traffic but on the occasion I am being charged with it was a local holiday here and we finnished work early and I totally just didnt think.
They say they have video evidence blah blah, quite a disturbing, threatening letter actually.
Now I am not too bothered as I was wrong and should have thought but didnt.
What bloody angers me is that drug dealers can deal outside your work place, you call the cops and even give them one name, a good description but are they interested?

Really annoying! They seem quick to catch the relatively mild infractions, but are never there when you really really need them...sigh .......

why do they come down so hard on silly little laws - I would rather they spent their money and resources getting tough with proper criminals.

Hopefully they will let you off with it - I mean for gawds sake it was just the bus lane

Ooohh no They are stamping down with it hard here too... here they are called bus gates and if a car goes down the lane they get caught on an automatic camera (just like a speed camera really)

Oh how frustrating I agree with you, I'm sure their money and resources would be better spent catching 'proper' criminals

I know you are admitting that you were in the wrong, but perhaps you could say that you didn't realise it was different on the public holiday to the other days??

I do agree that police resources seem sadly misused. I think they deal with the easy stuff and leave the bigger more difficult problems

No there is no chance of apeal.
The signs clearly state Mon - Sat 4pm - 6pm nd I was caught on camera at 5.17 pm. No one cares that I was simply confused by the holiday monday thing. Its just my own stupid fault.
I just think I could swallow it easier if I wasnt so cynical about how/who they choose to prosecute and persecute.
It seems to me that car drivers are the most prosecuted and persecuted than say housebreakers, muggers etc etc.
Why? Because its easier and it generates an income......
Thats just my personal feeling on the matter.
Oh well, at least I wasnt mugged and left scared to leave my own home coz the police couldnt catch the ****** or the courts let him walk free.
