The agapanthus is growing in a container as they will spread quite a lot over the years. That one is over 4 feet tall! We bought the tubers in the Flower Market in Madeira a few years ago.....but you can get them here in the Garden Centres. It is also known as the African Lily ..........you can get them in blue also... http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/plant...apanthus.shtml |

Thanks for the link Mags - they are stunning. It's another thing to add to my "to do" list when I get around to the garden!! You should see the weeds and thistles at the moment |

Mags, those are gorgeous pics! I see you have the Black Eyed Susan vine, not the plant...I've been sending you pics of the wrong thing!! Love the agapanthus: I had a blue one that was lovely; unfortunately it was supposed to overwinter here in Zone 7, but....didn't! I plan to get another one. They're sometimes called Blue Lily of the Nile in catalogues here.... poor little tomatoes, waiting patiently for some nice warm sunny days...and your Watchcat is very vigilant... |

Maybe you can save seeds from yours (if it ever warms up and stops raining so they can ripen!) for nest year. The Black Eyed Susan plant is the state flower of Maryland, it grows wild along the roads and hedgerows; that's where I got a start of mine years ago. I am consumed with avarice over that agapamthus .... |
