Misty had dissolvable stitches also, but didn't get a collar; she was a placid laid back cat and didn't bother her stitches....... Dandy had one when he had a neck irritation and scratched his neck almost raw; then managed to destroy it within 15 minutes of getting back from the vets.... Cats!! |

My cats never had collars - Chloe didnt touch her stitch but Misty ate hers - vets said it wasnt a problem as the wound was less than a cm and didnt really need a stitch. He only really does it to stop cat owners ringing saying you have forgotten to stitch! If she leaves it alone, you could just leave the collar off? |
