New asters

Well, new to me! I saw these "spider mum" type asters in the T & M catalogue this Spring and liked them especially the color...I'm pleased with them; will plant again next year.....

They are new to me too, never seen them before, they are, a beautiful colour....

Don't know much about asters . . .are they annuals? I thought they grew from tubors (shows how much I know

) Very nice, soft colour though

Some, like the New England asters are perennials, these are annuals, that grow from seed. Easy, I started them at the same time as the tomatoes, basil, etc. It was the color that caught my eye: I love blues and lilacs in the garden.
