£35million lottery win

Too much isn't it?

Don't think I could cope. I'd hide it away and be too frightened to tell anyone!
Or maybe start my own charity
Or
Or

What do you think you might do?

Re: £35million lottery win

Invest it, give 1 million to charity every year from the interest and spend 1 million of the interest on myself/family a year

Re: £35million lottery win

Invest some, pay all of my families mortgages off and sort them all out for life, buy a big house somewhere in the country with loads of room for the cats and dogs and donate loads to charity,I would make sure one of the charity run days centres (for adults with learning dissabilities)round by use has enough to stay open for ever.

Re: £35million lottery win

I'd do the same as everyone else really.

But, I do think that it's too much. That's more than one person could spend in a lifetime. I'd be happy with just a couple of mill !!!!! PMSL

Re: £35million lottery win

I had this conversation with hubby the other day. I said it's too much money and wouldn't know how to deal with it, he said he'd have a good try at spending it all

I've no idea what I would do with a similar sum, but I certainly wouldn't allow myself to be identified. Imagine all the begging letters she's going to be getting now!

Re: £35million lottery win

I agree with MrsH! Wouldn't want to be besieged by the media and begging letters. First thing I'd do would be consult an excellent tax accountant to take care of that end; then invest it. As I don't drive nor like travelling, and like my current house I really wouldn't need to spend much on myself; I'd be able to contribute very generously to the charities that I now make only small contributions to. That would feel really good! And I'd buy some good jewelry: diamonds instead of CZs!

Re: £35million lottery win

she said her son is going to stay at his school.i can see it now, some of those chavs are going to have a field day with the poor lad, and hes a shy boy as it is,
id give some to my favorite charitys. theres a couple of friends is help out, my brother/id buy my youngest daughter a nice house.and the MIL a nice bungalow, and pay for a daily help (shes a messy person LOL)
but im afraid due to a big falling out with my 2 older daughters they would have to go n whistle.as they dont want to know me now (long story) id be loathed to give them any money.(i know hard of me)
but i wouldnt go public. id still come on here. only id use a lappy and be sitting on a beach in the sun LOL
