Big school tomorrow.

My eldest daughter starts secondary school tomorrow.
She is all prepared & her uniform is labelled & pressed & all ready to put on in the morning. Pencil case & rucksac at the ready & new shoes are raring to go!

I can remember her 1st day in reception like it was yesterday, 7 years on & here we are, about to take the next big step in life.

I know it's a big step for any child but she struggles with her work & has extra help, she is also a July birthday, so is one of the youngest there. She's only just 11 & some are nearly 12.

I know she will be fine, but I feel quite worried.

Re: Big school tomorrow.

I don't think there is a mother around who doesn't worry when their children reach all these landmarks in life. I think we mums were made to worry!

I'm sure she won't take long settling in Smudgley, she'll make a lot of new friends and soon you won't get any peace as she will be telling you every single detail of life at the big school ...

After she has gone to school tomorrow morning, sit yourself down with a nice cup of coffee and feel proud of yourself for raising two lovely girls.....

Re: Big school tomorrow.

thanks everyone - Hugs for Fran.

No time for tea when I drop her off Mags, it's drop her off at the school gates & straight to my first appointment. I have a bitch whelping as we speak (so to speak ) so I'm off to see newborn babes first thing.

Well at least that will take your mind off worrying for a bit!

Re: Big school tomorrow.

Give them a week and that pristine uniform will be looking like rags!!!! Thats what my two did - they want to fit in and will end up dressing like all the other older kids!!!

Hope all the newbies have a good first day!!
