:(

Up early, animals sorted.
Lunches packed.
Kids dressed.

Then I took Ashleigh to big school & felt really emotional. After I'd dropped her off, I stood at the gate & watched her at as she milled around like a little lost sheep.

I shed a few tears (noone saw me, phew) & decided to come home & have a cuppa before heading off for work. (as suggested by Mags )

Re: :(

That just shows that you are a good mum, a mum who cares. Remember lots of children will be out of place until they get into class. She will be great and will have had a good day

Re: :(

I know how you are feeling this morning Smudgley. My children go on the school bus from here as it's a very long way to the school. The bus comes at around 8ish and Em was up dressed and excited at 6 this morning It brought a lump to my throat when I saw her so grown up looking in her new school uniform. A lot of the children from Em's junior class are going to the school, so they will all have met up on the bus.

Enjoy your cuppa, she'll be fine Smudgley

Oh Smudgely and Fran; hugs! A milestone day for you both.

Dominik starts reception class on Thursday too . . . no big deal for him as it's in the same school as his nursery classes, but it's 'big' school now as far as I'm concerned and he'll be there 5 days a week.

Oh how quickly they grow

Anyway, all you worried mums know it will be fine. The first 'everything' is a breath-holding trial. My worst was letting them walk back from school alone -eek!

Re: :(

thanks Yola

Dom is a big boy now too. {{hugs for Thursday}}. I cried when Ashleigh started reception, but she found it very hard to settle into school.

Right must get some work done.

Bye for now.
