Are they predicting a hard Winter? Supposedly we're going to be milder than normal, but I wonder....the acorn crop is very heavy this year...have not seen a wooly bear caterpillar yet...

We have them here DM, they seem to gallop instead of walking!

So, are they mostly black (hard cold winter), or mostly russet (mild winter) or a mixture? Last year they predicted a mostly mild winter with a cold spell in the middle, and that's what we got!!! Or, at least the one that I saw did.....they're not as common as they used to be.....
