Wow, that is really weird! I wouldn't think it was anatomically possible; could it be a doctored photo? Cute cat, though ........

How very strange

I think the cat looks a little angel though!

Thanks for the link Tink! How weird is that? I wondered about doctored photo. If this mutation continues it could come to pass that one day when "it's raining cats and dogs" at least the cats could fly!!!

I personally think someone has doctored that photo. Thanks for the link Tink.

Oh my that has to be doctored. And if not, I would have thought the 'wings' would need to be amputated because they can't be that comfortable for the cat as they look heavy and non-functional.

I don't think the photo is doctored as this cat was on some news programme a while a go now. Very strange though but a gorgeous looking cat.

Re: this is really quite interesting...

This may sound farfetched: a while back there was an article about a little girl in India born with 4 arms and 4 legs. They said there had been 2 fetuses and the surviving one absorbed must of the tissue of her sibling except the limbs. I am wondering if something like this might have happened with the cat, and the "wings" are malformed limbs ....????

Hmm could be DM, I wonder if the cat has ever been scanned or X-rayed.
