Daily Thread / Saturday

Morning all, dull but dry here at present. Have to finish stripping the wallpaper in the hall, stairs and landing that I started doing months ago As hubby has said he is going to plaster it in a fortnight (the weekend before Christmas ) Was going to pop along to a local cat show but not sure if I will get time now.

Hope everyone has a great weekend

Morning Everyone
I'm on the run this morning but had to pop in and see what was going on .
Salisbury's are selling TV's with in built DVD's for £50!! My Mum wants two so guess who has to drive half way across town for her? Then go to Salisbury's pick up the TV's take them to her house and come back home.
Tonight were taking Ceilidh to see the Golden Compass. I'm looking forward to that as I quite fancy it myself .
In between times I have the usual round of cleaning, ironing ect.
Have a relaxing day everyone

Morning! Are you on the move at last Cathy (homewise)? Good luck! Sorry your tum's not good

Glad you've got the energy for running around Jac - good to hear you're full of beans - how's the back bearing up?

I'm off to London in a few minutes for a rare shop-mooch and lunch with a friend. Glad to get out to be honest! Shame it's raining cats n dogs - we'll probably head for Selfridges instead of the planned Marylebone High Street - much drier!

Getting a bit worried about Balie. His vomitting is on the increase and he's also started inapproriate toiletting Will get some wet food for him, maybe his innards are changing and he's less tollerant of the biscuits. Or maybe I need to get some 'sensitive' RC. I'll get OH to get some samples from the pet shop as he needs to get some odour neutraliser

Horrible weather today, I'm putting off going out to the shops for as long as possible. I expect everywhere will be packed with Christmas shoppers so the supermarket car park will be full, oh joy!

Re: Daily Thread / Saturday

Morning all,
Pouring down with rain here today and im absolutely freezing!!!
My cousins nan died last nigh ,she was lovely lady its so sad,all my brothers and sisters and myself used to call her Auntie B. Ive rang work to see if I can swap shifts and not go in today but go in tomorrow instead so that I can go be with my cousin for while, shes a right mess.Just waiting for a call back, think I know what the answer will be

Came down this morning and tried to turn the lights on on the tree and they wouldnt come on,then I found a bulb missing and lots of little teeth marks on the wires,I have replaced the buld and they are working again, but I have a little Tinkerbell sat next to me trying to eat the lights

Hope you all have a great day

Well it's raining cats and dogs here too (does anyone know where this saying comes from???) and blowing a hoolie too. Merlin's tum seems to have settled down - no vomiting today, but no stool yet. Sorry to hear about Balie, Yola but do hope you enjoy your trip to the big city. Can't remember the last time I went there! Sorry to hear about your cousin's nan, Erin. Sad times for your family. Interested to hear what you think about the Golden Compass, Jac. I fancy seeing that too. Loved the books. Not much doing here - must do some Internet ordering and perhaps start the cards. Wild boar sausages for supper tonight!

Re: Daily Thread / Saturday

Back home for a bit. Phew, the shops are mad!

Yola, my back's holding up pretty well thanks. It does tend to get a bit sore at night and lets me know if I'm doing too much. In saying that I'm doing things I couldn't do before (like dressing unaided) it's great. I go back to the hospital on the 20th so will find out how many times I can get the injections.

Angieh, Will let you know about the film. I enjoyed the books as well. The film has been made by the same people that made the Lord of the Rings so it should be good.
Glad to hear that Merlin seem's to be getting better. Remember if he has been sick then there wont be much in his tum for a poo yet. (72 hours) for what goes in to come out.

It's raining on and off here although very dark. I have my lights on.
Nearly bought a Christmas Tree in a plant pot today but decided it's stil a bit early. The cats will probably have a feild day.
